COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
The Oakland Public Libary is part of the City of Oakland, and has been
in existence since 1878. They have 15 branch locations, a Main Library,
a Second Start Adult Literacy Program, the Bookmobile, the Tool Lending
Lirbary and the new African-American Museum and Library. They offer a
variety of special services for the residents of Oakland the the state
of California.
PC Professional recently particpated in Oakland's Teen Summer Reading
Program by donating an HP computer to the program's raffle contest. Please

In their efforts to help those in need, ABC7 & Safeway once again
joined forces this Thanksgiving holiday season to support Bay Area Food
Banks with their annual "Turkey Tally." This year, PC Professional
along with 73 other Bay Area companies and individuals donated 8687 turkeys,
valued at more than $86,000 to the Alameda County Community Food Bank.
On November 22, 2005, PC Professional donated 25 turkeys towards the ABC7
Safeway Turkey Tally on behalf of their clients. PC Professional participated
with this ongoing initiative to say thanks to their valued clients for
another successful year and to give back to the community by helping the
fight against hunger. We want to wish our clients a happy holiday season
and a prosperous new year!
PC Professional currently participates in The State
of California Caltrans Adopt-A-Highway program to help
maintain a section of the roadside within California's
State Highway System. Our two mile stretch of roadside
is along Highway 24 in the east bound direction on the
Oakland side of the Caldecott Tunnel. We are in charge
of removing the litter once a month from this section.
PC Professional's involvement in this program allows
us to help keep California looking beautiful.
Clausen House began in 1967 as a single group home for adults with developmental disabilities. Since then, Clausen House has expanded their services to include three residential homes, an apartment complex, a community center, an employment department and a recreation department. Each of these programs serves adults with developmental disabilities who seek assistance as they become more independent members of the community. They are a non-profit corporation with a wide range of services including an Adult Education Program, Supported Employment, Independent and Supported Living Services, Residential Services and Recreation. PC Professional has been able to help Clausen House maintain up to date computer technology by installing their whole Microsoft Network. PC Professional has also provided all computer desktop maintenance, break/fix, and computer technical support and information technology planning at their locations. With PC Professional's help Clausen House can keep focused on their day to day tasks without worrying about their network.
As a private entity, the Chamber functions independently. It is supported solely through membership investments and the proceeds of our many popular fundraising events.The Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce is a group of local business owners focused on enhancing the business community in Oakland. A volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization, the Chamber draws on the ideas, talents, energies and leadership of its members to achieve a united voice. PC Professional is currently a member of the Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. As a member we participate in events for the community along with business to business networking. PC Professional provides all IT consulting services, network, break/fix, and desktop work at The Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce location in Oakland.
