Founded in 1981 by current President/CEO Dan Sanguinetti, PC Professional has called the San Francisco East Bay home for more than 32 years.
Originally founded by Mr. Sanguinetti after the introduction of the IBM PC in 1981, PC Professional focused on the integration of an industry-changing solution.
Founded in a two-bedroom apartment in Oakland, it was a long journey before PC Professional moved to our current 16,000-square-foot facility at 1615 Webster Street.
In the early 1980s, PC Professional originally moved from a two-bedroom apartment into a three-bedroom house in Piedmont. Shortly thereafter, the company moved to Claremont Avenue in Berkeley, where PC Professional continued to grow at a rapid pace.
After just three years, the company left its Claremont Avenue location and headed to Oakland in the Cypress structure near the I-880 freeway. As the company continued to mature and develop, the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake severely damaged the building and destroyed the freeway near PC Professional’s building.
Significant damage from the earthquake sent PC Professional to two residential houses in Orinda, California, where the company thrived before heading to a location at 1900 Webster Street. The Downtown Oakland facility hosted the company from 1990 to 1996, but continued growth led to a final move to 1615 Webster Street, which provides enough room for current operational needs – and future growth.
