How PC Professional Has Kept a San Francisco Hospitality Nonprofit Secure and Running for Nearly 20 Years

,

They’ve Been with Us Since 2007. Here’s Why.

We don’t take long-term relationships for granted.

When a client has been with you since 2007, that tells you something. It means you’ve done the job consistently. It means when things went sideways, you showed up. It means they trust you—not because you gave them a good pitch once, but because you’ve earned it over and over again.

This San Francisco hospitality nonprofit runs an 8-story building that houses guests around the clock. Staff manage facilities, events, and services day and night. They are driven by a mission to ensure everyone who walks through their door feels safe and cared for.

When they came to us, they had aging infrastructure and security that wasn’t where it needed to be. This isn’t out of the ordinary for nonprofits as limited funding constrains their mission. But the security obligation isn’t any smaller just because the budget is.

We had to build them something that worked at scale, covered both their digital and physical environment, and didn’t require a Fortune 500 budget to maintain.

What We Did

We started with a full cybersecurity audit. We studied their systems so we could know exactly where the vulnerabilities were before we recommended anything.

From there, we upgraded their switches and firewalls and built a layered cybersecurity strategy that could grow with the organization over time. We secured their backups for data integrity and recoverability. While also helping them navigate the cyber insurance process.

We also handled physical security. We implemented surveillance systems, and access control for the whole building and each floor. When you’re running a hospitality facility, cybersecurity and physical security aren’t two separate conversations: they’re one.

But we didn’t stop there, we stayed as their managed provider. With us, they get real-time support, both remote and on-site. We manage their website, too. Seventeen-plus years later, we’re still the call they make when something needs to get handled.

What Changed

With us, they can operate with confidence.

Their guests are protected, their data is secure, and their team can focus on their true mission of hospitality, community, and service—without IT becoming a distraction or a crisis.

The length of this partnership is our proudest metric here.

When you consistently treat a client’s mission like it matters—not just when you’re signing the agreement, but every time they call, every time something breaks, and every time something new comes up that they need help with—it turns service into a true partnership.

For a nonprofit COO running a lean operation with high obligations, that kind of reliability is everything.
